What is a VPN?

A VPN creates a secure Internet connection where your Internet provider sees only encrypted data, and the final destination sees only Whatbox location and IP information.

What's the difference?

Without VPN, websites see your IP and your location. Your ISP sees the websites you are visiting, the videos you are watching, who you e-mail, who you instant message, your downloads and uploads.

With VPN, websites see a Whatbox IP and location. Your ISP sees encrypted Whatbox traffic only.

OpenVPN is currently the only supported VPN type.
